Work at Alchemy Bio
We build AI tools for drug development—helping researchers find clinical trials, identify collaborators, and make sense of regulatory data. Our team is small, the problems are hard, and the work matters.
How we work
We're a small team, which means you'll have real ownership over what you build. There's no rigid hierarchy—if something needs to get done, the right person to do it is probably you.
We ship frequently, talk to users directly, and iterate based on what we learn. Most of the team is in Miami, but we work with people remotely too.
Open positions
Software Engineer
You'll build the systems that power our AI platform—backend services, APIs, and user interfaces that researchers use daily. The work involves integrating ML models, handling complex biotech data, and shipping features that solve real problems.
What you'll do
- Design and implement backend services and APIs
- Build user interfaces for biotech workflows
- Integrate AI models into production systems
- Write tested, maintainable code
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of software development experience
- Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, or similar languages
- Experience with React, Next.js, or similar frameworks
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization
- Clear communication skills
Research Engineer
You'll work at the intersection of machine learning and biology—building models that process clinical trial data, scientific literature, and regulatory documents. The role involves both research and implementation.
What you'll do
- Develop ML models for drug discovery applications
- Process and analyze biological datasets
- Translate research into product features
- Keep current with AI/ML and computational biology advances
- Document and communicate findings clearly
What we're looking for
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computational Biology, or related field
- Strong foundation in machine learning and statistics
- Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Python proficiency and data science libraries
- Familiarity with biological data (genomics, clinical trials, etc.)
